The Blue Devils seniors had a field day on the lanes amassing a 751-pin victory over visiting Euclid. Leading the charge for Brunswick was reigning Medina Gazette Prep Player of the Week, Josh Gerda. Gerda continued his tear of the lanes by throwing a team high 246 (415 series). Also contributing to the victory was Blake McClain throwing a respectable 225 in game 2. McClain finished the night with a 408 series.
“This was by far the worst series I have thrown all season,” said captain Alex Turcheck. “But this was also some of the most fun I have had during a match, ever.”
“This is a special group of seniors,” said head coach Ryan Jakubczak. “I was the new guy this year and they stepped up to provide great leadership and help me throughout the season. I am grateful for these young men and I wish them the best in their future endeavors.”
The Blue Devils Seniors are Sal Carcione, Josh Gerda, Blake McClain, Aaron Shook, and Alex Turcheck.
Brunswick is back in action on February 5 when they travel to Berea-Midpark. The match, held at Brookgate Lanes, is scheduled for a 4:00 start.
