The Brunswick JV Baseball team picked up right where they left off Monday. With a recipe of strong hitting supported by solid pitching, the Blue Devils again defeated the Mentor Cardinals 6-0 in game 2 of the conference schedule at Brunswick High School. The JV team went to 6-1 overall, and 2-0 in the Greater Cleveland Conference.

The team had 12 hits with a total of 5 Blue Devil players having 2 hits apiece.

Right fielder Jayce Dye hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Smith. Third baseman Jacob Svozil would then rip a line drive to left scoring Anderson to put Brunswick up 2-0.

In the 3rd, shortstop Jacob Mancini had a lead-off infield single. Drew Harvey beat out an infield hit to short, and Anderson is then hit by a pitch to load the bases. Dye again drives in a run with another sacrifice fly to left field scoring Mancini.

Svozil and center fielder Mike Mog have back-to-back singles to start the 4th. Mancini reaches on a throwing error scoring by Mentor’s pitcher scoring Svozil. Harvey follows with a crushed double to center bringing home Mog. Brunswick now with a 5-0 lead.
