Alex Heilbrun bogeyed his first two holes on Thursday after three putting the first two greens. He was lights out on the next seven, making four birdies. He finished at 2 under par 34, one shot off of a 9 hole school record. Kyle Goessler also continued his consistent play, turning in a season-low 9 hole score of 38 that included a birdie on the difficult par 3 4th hole. Clay Greiner and Chase Safko were also solid, shooting 41 and 42 respectively. Grant Barber played in his third varsity event, scoring his season low varsity score of 42. Cody Merrill rounded out the scoring with a 47. The Blue Devils shot a season-low 155 on the day, losing to Medina (151), but beating Solon (159). They finish the season 8-2 in matches, an extremely impressive record. The varsity team will play in the Ryder Cup on Monday and Wednesday. They will partner with the Strongsville Mustangs to take on Highland and North Royalton. GCC #4 is next Tuesday at 9:00 am as well. Go Big Blue!
