The Brunswick Blue Devil boys bowling team narrowly missed a third trip to the State Tournament by 11 pins, finishing in 6th place at the District bowling tournament held at Wedgewood Lanes on Sunday afternoon. Although the team won’t be making the trip to Columbus, Nate Barbopoulos snagged an individual qualifying spot, and will represent Brunswick at Wayne Webb Columbus Bowl in two weeks. Nate bowled games of 190, 214 and 195 for a 599 series. The team battled rough lane conditions, and was forced to move lanes due to water leaks. Congratulations on a great showing at one of the highest levels of high school bowling, you should be very proud of the effort and fortitude you demonstrated today. Good luck to Nate in Columbus !!!
