The Blue Devils varsity bowling team found themselves in 18th place after game 1 and struggled to climb into the top-8 finishing 11th at the Padua Bruin Classic. Pacing Brunswick on the day was junior, Anthony Costanzo, finishing 16th among all individuals (218-573). Freshman, Jordan Tucker, was the only other Blue Devil to break 200 (221) on the day.

“The boys struggled to find their lines today,” said coach Ryan Jakubczak. “We had a tough time converting our one-pin spares. Even if we convert half of the ones that we missed, we would have qualified for the Baker finals. This is a tough lesson for the boys and I hope they learn from their mistakes moving forward.”

Brunswick is back in action on Tuesday as they host GCC-foe Elyria. The match at Dick Hoover’s Lanes is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start.
