Finding themselves up 104 pins after game 1, the Blue Devils had to come back in the final Baker game to defeat GCC-rival Solon on the road. Leading the way for the Blue Devils was senior Anthony Costanzo (230-402), freshman Jacob Bartoul (201-395), and senior Ryan Osowski (205-386). Junior Blake Schumacher (375) and senior Caleb Hanshaw (364) made major contributions to the win.
“This was our best match of the season,” said head coach Ryan Jakubczak. “Tonight, the guys really showed what they are capable of doing. Solon is a solid team and to have to fight for the win showed their resilience. We are hoping to use this as a catalyst for a strong back half of the season.”
The Blue Devils are back in action with the travel to neighborhood-rival Buckeye. This match, scheduled for 4:00 will be bowled at AMF Medina Lanes.
