Beginning Friday, December 18th, the Brunswick High School and Brunswick Middle School winter sports teams will resume competitions. BCSD athletics had been on a brief pause from competitions in athletics since December 7th, shortly after Medina County was classified as Level 4 “Purple” on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During this competition pause, teams have continued to practice so as to remain active and prepared for the return to competition.
All student athletes, coaches, and athletic personnel will continue to follow all COVID-19 protocols as it relates to interscholastic athletics. Daily health screenings will continue to be required before attending any/all athletic practices/competitions, and temperature checks will continue to be conducted by teams on site.
Spectator attendance will continue to be limited to immediate family members of participants in the contest, and following the current health order as it relates to overall attendance. Our home venues vary in size and ticket allotments will continue to be communicated to families before events. Please note, it may become necessary to further limit spectator attendance, or potentially clear the venue between levels to provide the safest environment for all and to be in compliance with current health orders.
While we are extremely excited to see our student athletes returning to representing our school and community in competition, the COVID-19 situation continues to be very fluid; the status will continue to be reviewed frequently to determine if alternate measures need to be implemented to provide our student athletes, coaches, athletic personnel, and school community the safest environment for our teams to compete.
Tickets will be available for home events at 8:00am the day before the event is scheduled. As a reminder, all tickets are pre-sale online only.
