Blue Devils News · Herron Park Project Information

On December 6th before the boys basketball home opener, BHS Boys Basketball Coach Joe Mackey announced that the Brunswick High School Athletic Department and the Brunswick Athletic Foundation (BAF) would be teaming up to begin a fundraising campaign and with the support of Engelke Construction for the building of what will be known as “Herron Park” in memory of former BHS player and coach, Josh Herron.

The purpose of the project is to make the following improvements to the Brunswick High School baseball & softball complex in memory of Josh Herron:

  • Archway entrance into the initial brick walkway which will recognize sponsors
  • Concrete walkway from stadium parking lot along softball fence to the baseball field
  • Flag poles at both the baseball and softball fields
  • Commemorative area and plaque in Josh’s memory
  • Complimentary landscaping

Please see the informational flyer on the Herron Park Project Here and how to support the Herron Park project.  All donations to the Herron Park project will be made to the BAF and can be mailed to their attention, or made online at https://baf-herron-park-project.cheddarup.com.

In the near future we look forward to sharing architectural drawings that will give supporters an idea as to what the archway entrance, walkway, and other improvements to the baseball & softball areas that will be Herron Park.  Please visit the BHS Athletic Department page that has been set up for the Herron Park project for updates at https://bluedevilathletics.org/herronpark/.
