Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse, Girls Varsity Lacrosse · Kolbie Haines Named New Head Coach for BHS Girls Lacrosse

Kolbie Haines was approved at the August 21st Brunswick Board of Education Meeting as the new Head Coach of the Brunswick High School Girls Lacrosse Program.  Haines replaces Reggie Haire who resigned the position over the summer.  Haines, a graduate of the The University of Mount Union teaches Art at Crestview Elementary School in the Brunswick City School District.

Haines was the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Mount Union in 2017 where the Purple Raiders went 14-4 overall winning their 4th consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) title and a Sweet 16 appearance in the Division III NCAA Tournament.

As a player at Mount Union, Haines led the Purple Raiders to OAC titles in 2014, 2015, and 2016 (both Regular Season and Tournament).  The Purple Raiders made the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history in 2015.  Haines was named All-OAC all four years at Mount Union (2013-2016) as well as All Great Lakes Regional Team in 2014 & 2015.  Haines was also a two-time All-OAC performer for the Purple Raiders in Women’s Soccer.

Haines was a high school standout in both Lacrosse and Soccer at nearby Hudson High School.  The Explorers made trips to the Final Four twice during Haines high school lacrosse career.

Haines takes over a Brunswick Program which went 14-4 in 2017 and advanced to the Regional Quarterfinal of the OHSAA Tournament.

Coach Haines will be setting up a meeting in the near future to meet with returning players.
