BRUNSWICK, Ohio —  Brunswick’s football team rebounded from last week’s loss to No. 1 Hudson by scoring 35 in the first quarter Friday in a 42-0 shutout of Normandy in Northeast Ohio Conference crossover play.

Quarterback Steven Ficyk threw three touchdown passes in the opening period, 41 yards to Marc Manocchio, 29 yards to Gary Clift and 40 yards to Ethan Engelke.

Brunswick (4-1) is ranked No. 10 in the cleveland.com Top 25 and got two rushing touchdowns from Jacob Martin in the first.
