Mark Merchant Named New Girls Tennis Coach

Mark Merchant was approved at the July 17th Board of Education meeting as the new Head Girls Tennis Coach at Brunswick High School.

Brunswick will be Merchant’s first head coaching position, but has a solid background in the game as both a player and instructor.  Merchant, a Division I player at Marquette University has spent the last 20+ years as a private instructor.

Joining Merchant on his staff will be veteran BHS Coach, Julie Salzman, as well as BHS Head Boys Tennis Coach, Mike Canterburry.

The Blue Devils kick off their season on August 11th at home vs Cuyahoga Falls at 5:00pm.

Girls Tennis practice begins at 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 1st at Neura Park for all players grades 9-12.  If you have any questions about the upcoming tennis season, please contact Coach Merchant at MMerchant440@aol.com.
