After struggling at the Lexington Invitational on Monday, August, 10th, Brunswick’s Lady Golfers rounded back into form beating the Shaker Heights Red Raiders 192-213 for their first conference victory of the season.

Kaitlin Merholz, a first year player, lead the team, shooting a 47 on the front nine of Coppertop.  Sophomore, Bree Croston, and Junior, Devon Matson, also had a strong showing, both shooting a score of 48.  Rounding out the team’s scoring was senior leader, Kelly Szczepaniak, who grinded out a 49, despite not feeling like she had her “A” game.

Sophomore Ericka Marano and Senior Brianne Petrus also had respectable rounds of 50 and 56, but did not factor into the team’s final tally.  The Brunswick Girls head to North Royalton on Thursday where they look to build upon their early season success.
